The national research school in business economics and administration (BEA) is a joint effort of 14 institutions to enhance the quality of the PhD education and to stimulate research.
These objectives will be attained through a national and international collaboration on courses, seminars, supervision and research so that the PhD education will take place in scientific communities and networks of high international standards. In addition, the member institutions will collaborate on recruiment and marketing, among others by promoting the research school on the Internet.
The subject area of the research school is business economics and administration (Norwegian: bedriftsøkonomi), i.e. the effective management of the individual firm in ever-changing environments.
Applicants to the research school are PhD students within business economics and administration. The students must be admitted to the PhD program at one of the member institutions, but the research school assists scholars in finding a relevant PhD programme and supervisors. Applications must be submitted electronically.
